Department: Facilities | Reports To: Senior Facility Coordinator | Salary Range: $9.00–14.00

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our Kids' Corner Team. In this role, you will provide a safe and nurturing environment for children and help facilitate a child's development through care and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor children's safety and well-being during playtime or transitions.
• Plan and execute age-appropriate learning activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Assist with diaper changes, feeding, dressing, and hygiene routines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating environment.
• Communicate with parents regarding the activities the child participated in, any concerns, etc.
• Observe a child's behavior and document if necessary.
• Foster positive interactions and conflict resolution skills among children; redirect when necessary.
• Interact with the children and make them feel comforted, loved, and cared for while in care.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age and have reliable transportation.
• Must possess current CPR/AED and First Aid certification within 90 days of employment.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to work during various hours of operation and on some holidays.
• Some experience in childcare preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to see, hear, and move about.
• Must possess an audible voice for communication and ability to lift light equipment.
• Must be able to perform CPR and First Aid as needed.
• Frequent walking, standing, and sitting for long periods of time.
• Must be able to bend and stoop to complete various tasks.
