Folder Operator
About the role
Taylor Corporation is seeking a Folder Equipment Operator in our Fridley-MN facility. This role plays a crucial part in daily operations and contributes to production goals.
Responsibilities
- Setup, operate, and monitor complex folding machinery, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to production schedules
- Conduct thorough inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to identify potential issues before they impact production
- Trains and mentors new and existing employees on machinery operation, safety protocols, best practices, and quality expectations
- Delegates tasks effectively to enhance team productivity and maintain a smooth workflow
- Serves as a positive role model, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability
- Provides regular updates to the Production Supervisor on equipment status, production metrics, and any issues encountered
- Maintains accurate and detailed records related to equipment performance, production output, and maintenance activities
- Ensures compliance with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT, and environmental regulations
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all departmental policies and procedures
- Utilizes Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) consistently and correctly
- Maintains accurate data entry for time keeping, job costing, and MRP job tracking
Requirements
- Machine Operation experience, preferably with folding equipment
- Ability to comprehend number sequencing and recognize errors
- Ability to work with numbers
- Maintains a pattern of regular and predictable attendance
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Able to work overtime as needed
- Responds to continually changing priorities and coordinates multiple projects
- Works in a team environment toward a common goal
- Reacts to change productively and handles other tasks assigned
- A service-oriented individual with a high energy, positive, and friendly demeanor
Shift
3rd Shift; Monday - Friday, 10:00pm - 6:00am
Pay
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $18.00 - 23.00. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
