Folder/Gluer Operator

About the role

This position involves operating and adjusting gluer machines to produce high-quality printed packaging material according to customer specifications. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, monitoring operation, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Operates and adjusts gluer machine, troubleshoots, and monitors operation.
• Prepares gluer by performing tasks to produce consistent, high-quality product.
• Resolves defects and makes adjustments to ensure high-quality product.
• Oversees technicians and processes product efficiently.
• Maintains speed and quality during production.
• Ensures quality of jobs completed by reviewing and correcting errors.
• Supports and communicates ISO standards and quality objectives to the team.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Uses safety equipment and follows hazardous material handling procedures.
• Communicates accurately and professionally with team members.
• Motivates and trains the team to improve work performance.
• Conducts team meetings and performs any additional tasks as requested.

Requirements

• High School diploma (or GED).
• Minimum of 3 years of Folder/Gluer equipment operation within the food packaging industry.
• Experience with Bobst Alpina, Expertfold, and/or Heidelburg gluer preferred.
• Interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.

Physical Demands

• Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, bending, and reaching.
• Frequent lifting in excess of 30 lbs.
• Use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to rotate shifts and work extended hours as needed.
