About the role
The FOIA Analyst is responsible for handling Freedom of Information Act requests efficiently and ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze FOIA requests to determine appropriate responses.
- Research and compile relevant documents from various sources.
- Prepare and submit responses to FOIA requests in accordance with agency policies.
- Communicate effectively with requesters and other departments within the organization.
- Ensure all requests are processed within the required timeframe.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Information Technology, Public Administration).
- At least 2 years of experience in handling FOIA requests.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with FOIA laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with document management systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
