FNS Utility Worker

About the role

Methodist Hospital Metropolitan is seeking a Food Service Worker II to join our dedicated team. This position involves performing a wide range of duties in various food service operations, including cafeteria, salad aides, nourishments, plugger, and grill roles.

Responsibilities

• Cafeteria: Demonstrate proper cash handling procedures, ensure cafeteria area is stocked, maintain attractive product appearance, meet all deadlines, follow HACCP guidelines.
• Salad Aides: Follow standardized recipes, monitor food for appropriate taste and appearance, understand and practice safe food handling techniques, complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Nourishments: Perform routine diet nourishment functions, provide optimum service to patients and caregivers, understand modified diets, prepare shakes as necessary.
• Plugger: Perform routine patient cart functions, demonstrate understanding of time-sensitive aspects, provide optimum service, maintain clean work area.
• Grill: Prepare all grill and fried items in a sanitary/timely manner, assist at steam table/salad bar/beverage area, practice safe food handling techniques, greet and assist customers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Some Food Service experience is desirable.
• Food Handlers permit or must obtain during the first two weeks of hire date.

Qualifications

• Highly qualified candidates will be contacted for interviews.
