About the role
The FMS Senior Manager leads a team of FMS staff to ensure the delivery of exceptional Financial Management Services for Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) self-directed programs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with internal and external partners to oversee the daily operations and drive progress toward organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, coach, and mentor team members to reach their full potential.
- Ensure clarity in team roles and goals that align with both the department’s and agency’s strategic goals.
- Provide regular feedback and conduct annual performance reviews.
- Create and implement team and individual work plans that support both agency and individual growth.
- Create and maintain policies and procedures that meet legal, contractual, and ethical standards.
- Monitor compliance, conduct audits, and guide corrective actions when needed.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure excellence and progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Accounting, Business Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working within participant-directed services required.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience required.
- 3 years of experience in a related field.
- High emotional intelligence.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to analyze and create strategies to promote organizational health measures.
- Skilled at and dedicated to developing others.
- Knowledge of rules, regulations, and best practices in self-direction programs and FMS services for the state served.
- Experience using database technology and learning and using electronic systems to efficiently and effectively manage work processes and documentation.

Pay
- $63,960.00 - $66,892.80 annually, based on experience.
Schedule
- Hybrid work schedule including in-person trainings, meetings, and occasional onsite work. Employees should expect to work onsite at least one day per week.
