FMS Preventative Maintenence Technician

Job Description Summary

Aid in maintaining the FMS/asset management system for the physical plant's HVAC, air compressors, chillers, AHU's, pumps, exhaust systems, and life safety systems in a mixed-use corporate environment. Coordinate and execute operational and maintenance tasks to meet departmental goals and objectives. Support team members with daily activities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge and experience to manage day-to-day operations and grow within the management system.
  • Take charge of shifts and make operating decisions independently.
  • Follow strict operating procedures for applicable equipment as trained.
  • Utilize advanced computer skills, including email composition and work order completion.
  • Perform designated operator rounds, document equipment conditions, and report non-standard conditions.
  • Work flexible schedules and participate in overtime as needed.
  • Ensure timely completion and return of work order and time sheet documentation.
  • Participate in ongoing computer/technical skill development training programs.

Job Description

Training & Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, with demonstrated mechanical aptitude, math ability, and a positive attitude. Must have a valid state driver’s license.

Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years of office experience.
  • Must pass a criminal background check, physical exam, and drug screen.
  • Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs unassisted.

  • Must be capable of working in a flexible schedule and participating in overtime as needed.
