Fluid Systems Design Engineer
About the role
Join a fast-moving, international, and interdisciplinary team where you'll design, specify, and implement auxiliary systems for Gas Turbine applications. You'll collaborate across customers, vendors, supply chain, and engineering teams to deliver high-performance fuel gas supply solutions, owning the process from concept and testing through implementation, cost optimization, and project bid support.
Responsibilities
- Solve complex system design challenges
- Drive cost-effective execution
- Help accelerate the transition to cleaner energy by integrating next-generation technologies like Hydrogen solutions
- Design and develop the Auxiliaries systems that support operations on all Siemens Gas Turbine frames
- Implement Research and Development (R&D) activities for GT Auxiliaries systems, focusing on fuel gas and emerging clean energy-based concepts (Hydrogen) for both 50Hz and 60Hz markets
- Define auxiliaries on a system level, responsible for component evaluation and selection, hardware function requirements, and operation modes of the GT engines
- Communicate with suppliers on development of valves, instrumentation and other components to meet the new demands of a clean energy focus market
- Collaborate in a team environment with a consideration for project schedules and budgets
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
3+ years of experience in Fluid Systems designs in Gas Turbine, Architectural Engineering, Aerospace, or Automotive Industries, or related experience
Capability to handle cross-functional and cross-product line initiatives, domestically and internationally
Ability to work as part of a larger global engineering team in a collaborative manner
Proficient in MS Office, Simulation software, PLM Software
Ability to travel up to 15% domestically, and internationally
Qualifications
Must be located in Orlando, FL or willing to relocate
