Responsibilities
- Fluid power system design, schematics, component selection, and bills of material
- Provide both technical and hands-on support to internal and external stakeholders during production, shop testing, and site support (Traveling may be required for shorter periods of time)
- Maintain close collaboration with design team during all phases of project lifecycle, ensuring proper controls integration into the mechanical design
- Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors and suppliers
- Afford assistance design team with the preparation of operations manuals and other relevant technical documentation
Requirements
- Associates degree in mechanical/systems engineering, or a demonstrated equivalent through formal training and experience
- 3+ years of experience in the design, installation, and troubleshooting of fluid power control systems including the preparation of fluid power schematics
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability and willingness to occasionally visit customer sites
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Experience with Solidworks or similar 3D CAD software
- Experience with both mobile and industrial hydraulic systems
- Experience with radio-remote control system programming
- Fluid Power Specialist, Fluid Power Engineer, or similar certifications
- Experience in the heavy civil or underground construction industry
