Flour Mill Packaging

About the role

Position responsible for producing and packaging flour and crisp rice, operating forklifts, performing equipment maintenance, and ensuring food safety and quality compliance.

Responsibilities

• Safety sensitive position.
• Produce and package flour and crisp rice.
• Drive forklift or telescoping forklift as needed.
• Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Follow food safety, legal, quality, and process control policies and regulations.
• Maintain required company forms and records.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the lead operator or management.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Willing and able to climb up to 25 feet using catwalk and ladders.
• Willing and able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs a distance of 15 ft.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
• Willing and able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Willing and able to bend, stoop, twist, turn, push, and pull throughout the day as needed.
• Willing and able to work in extreme hot and cold temperatures for extended periods.
• Willing and able to wear required PPE.
• Willing to work unsupervised and with others.
• Willing to work extended shifts and weekends as needed.
• Willing and able to follow all safety and food safety rules.

Skills

• Basic computer skills preferred.

Schedule

Monday - Friday 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. or 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.; overtime as needed including weekends and holidays.
