Florist (Part-Time)

About the role

As a Florist, you will be an integral part of our team dedicated to executing beautifully designed floral bouquets and arrangements. Your expertise in floral preparation and attention to detail will ensure every bouquet aligns with The Bouqs brand and design standards while meeting customer needs. You will report to the Store Manager and indirectly to the Retail Corporate Team when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers, answer questions, locate merchandise, and recommend products to ensure a pleasant, engaging, and efficient customer experience.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the brand, its history, products, and cross-channel offerings.
• Prepare and assemble floral arrangements and bouquets following design specifications, using skills in handling various flowers, foliage, and plants to create high-quality products.
• Inspect all floral elements to ensure freshness, quality, and compliance with Bouqs standards for consistent bouquet appearance and presentation.
• Maintain store visual standards by ensuring products are displayed neatly according to visual guidelines.
• Facilitate sales and client capture in the POS system, including cross-channel sales such as bridal and events.
• Manage daily inventory, including receiving live shipments and processing out product as needed.
• Participate in scheduled inventory tasks, including store-wide physical inventory counts.
• Communicate internal and client feedback to corporate management to drive the overall success of the retail organization.
• Assist with off-site events when needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of floral experience as a florist with a focus on executing floral designs.
• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Availability to work up to 24 hours per week, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends (3-4 shifts per week).
• Must be available to work during Vacation Blackout Policy dates.
• Knowledgeable and able to work with live floral product.
• Ability to lift/move up to 30 lbs. and climb a ladder up to 8 ft.
