Floral Designer

About the Role

Venus et Fleur creates luxury preserved floral arrangements. Our Cranbury production floor is where every piece is built by hand. We’re hiring creative, detail-driven people to help build arrangements and decorative pieces through our busiest season. A floral background is preferred but not required. If you’re artistic and precise, we can teach you the rest.

Responsibilities

• Recreate arrangements consistently from design examples and specs
• Use your own judgment to make each piece beautiful, balanced and finished
• Hold a high bar on detail, proportion, color and finishing quality
• Handle delicate materials carefully and keep your workspace clean and organized
• Support production of seasonal floral and decorative collections

Requirements

• Enjoys hands-on, creative, craft-based work
• Strong eye for color, proportion and composition
• Takes pride in making things well
• Works carefully while maintaining a steady pace
• Dependable, consistent, and accountable for the quality of their output

Schedule

This is a freelance, contract-based engagement, on-site in Cranbury, NJ. Two tracks available:

• Immediate start — begin as soon as you’re available
• Seasonal, October-May — covering our holiday, Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day production seasons

During peak production periods we need a commitment of 30+ hours per week, including extended hours and some weekend work. Outside of peak, hours are lighter and scheduled around production needs.
