The Floral Clerk position at Cosentino's aims to enhance the shopping experience by maintaining an organized and attractive floral department. This role is under the direct supervision of the Floral Manager.

About the Role

This is a non-exempt position requiring ongoing training and development as outlined in the Cosentino’s Learning Plan. A high school diploma is preferred but not mandatory.

Essential Knowledge

• Completion of ongoing training and development as listed on the Cosentino’s Learning Plan.
• A high school diploma is preferred.

Skills

• Consult with customers to determine and document their needs accurately.
• Answer customer questions about department products, procedures, and policies.
• Resolve customer complaints professionally and escalate when necessary.
• Implement Cosentino’s Customer Service Standards.
• Maintain and rotate products, ensuring they are fresh and correctly labeled.
• Create and deliver balloon arrangements according to customer specifications.
• Stock shelves and cases, changing tags and price markers as needed.
• Operate and maintain equipment safely and competently.
• Work in a clean and safe environment, complying with health regulations and safety procedures.
• Meet productivity standards and demonstrate strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Perform physical tasks such as reaching overhead, lifting up to 2 lbs, standing, walking, bending, and squatting.

Non-Essential Knowledge

• A high school diploma is preferred.
