Assist and greet customers promptly and provide them with great service.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the design and creation of floral arrangements and other items to fulfill customer orders.
• Pack orders effectively, safely, and efficiently.
• Maintain customer records and files properly.
• Absorb and respond to customer needs and requests.
• Decorate and merchandise the department.
• Keep merchandise and supplies in designated areas.
• Handle telephone calls and orders promptly and courteously.
• Operate cash register in accordance with company procedures, as applicable.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws.
• Work weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills.
• Reads shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
• Multi-tasks, sets priorities, presents information professionally, and works with all levels of the organization.
• Has personal initiative and follows through to completion.
• Works as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Has knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, and safety.
• Has past work experience reflecting dependability and integrity.
• Has experience in grocery retail and customer service.
• Has experience operating a cash register and making change.
