FLORAL/CLERK

Responsibilities

• Aid in the design and creation of floral arrangements and other items to fulfill customer orders.
• Package orders effectively, safely, and efficiently.
• Help maintain customer records and files.
• Assist customers in locating and selecting items.
• Handle telephone calls and orders promptly and courteously.
• Assist in decorating and merchandising the department.
• Maintain carts, tools, and supplies in designated areas and keep them organized.
• Keep floors, clean, safe, and free from clutter.
• Maintain plants, process, and prepare flower arrangements and fill balloons.
• Ensure proper signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, quality, and space allocation for merchandise.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws.
• Operate cash register in accordance with company procedures, as applicable.
• Maintain flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills.
• Reads shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
• Multi-tasks, sets priorities, presents information professionally, and works with all levels of the organization.
• Shows personal initiative and follows through to completion.
• Works as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Has knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices and safety.
• Has past work experience reflecting dependability and integrity.
• Desired: Experience in grocery retail and customer service.
• Experience operating a cash register and making change.
