FLORAL/CLERK

Responsibilities

• Aid in the design and creation of floral arrangements and other items to fulfill customer orders.
• Package orders effectively, safely, and efficiently.
• Maintain customer records and files correctly.
• Assist customers in locating and selecting items.
• Handle telephone calls and orders promptly and courteously.
• Decorate and merchandise the department.
• Keep carts, tools, and supplies organized and in designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the floor, ensuring it is free from clutter.
• Take care of plants, prepare flower arrangements, and fill balloons.
• Maintain proper signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, quality, and space allocation for merchandise.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws.
• Operate cash register in accordance with company procedures, as applicable.
• Maintain flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills.
• Can read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
• Can multi-task, set priorities, present information professionally, and work with all levels of the organization.
• Possesses abilities and skills for effective production, merchandising, and customer services related to the sale of merchandise.
• Can work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and carefully operate all production equipment.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Has past work experience reflecting dependability and integrity.
• Shows knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices and safety.
• Has experience in grocery retail and customer service.
• Has experience operating a cash register and making change.
