Floor Technician/Porter

About the role

Galleria Woods Senior Living seeks a Floor Technician/Porter to join their team. This position supports the cleanliness and comfort of the community for residents.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining common areas, hallways, and public restrooms
• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and caring for floors and carpets
• Collecting and disposing of trash
• Auxiliary support with room and event setups
• Maintaining housekeeping equipment and supplies
• Following daily work assignments and priorities established by supervisors
• Safeguarding resident privacy and confidentiality

Requirements

• Dependable, hardworking individual
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Previous porter, housekeeping, laundry, janitorial, or healthcare environmental services experience (preferred but not required)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license (if applicable)

Skills

• Scrubbing and extractor machine operation
• Basic computer skills (optional)

Pay

$15.00 per hour

Schedule

Part Time: Monday-Friday, 5 p.m.-9 p.m. Part Time: Saturday-Sunday, 3 p.m.-7 p.m.
