FLOOR TECHNICIAN (PART TIME)

Location: Waveny LifeCare Network, 3 Farm Road, New Canaan, CT 06840

Schedule

Part time; Weekdays 11:00am – 5:00pm, weekends & holidays 11:30am – 8:00pm

Pay

Fixed pay rate: $18.00 per hour

About the role

Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment in a fun, people-centered work environment. Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning of large areas of floor surface
• Use proper procedures on carpet and upholstery including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Requirements

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required
• Ability to follow safety procedures
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs
