Floor Technician / Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our team at a skilled nursing facility in St. Louis. You’ll play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that supports resident care and staff operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and deep cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet care
• Maintain cleanliness in all facility areas such as hallways, restrooms, resident rooms, and common spaces
• Follow safety and infection control procedures, including proper signage and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Support basic maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs, cleaning vents, and washing windows
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed
• Assist with outdoor upkeep including sweeping entrances and cleaning patio furniture
• Collaborate with staff to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for residents and visitors

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum 1 year experience in housekeeping, floor care, or maintenance in a healthcare or commercial setting preferred
• Knowledge of floor care equipment, cleaning chemicals, and safety procedures
• Ability to follow schedules and work independently
• Strong attention to detail and a team player mindset
