Ideal Candidate Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • Minimum 1 year experience in floor care
  • Knowledge of how to strip, wax, and burnish floors with minimal to no assistance
  • Knowledge and experience operating various pieces of equipment such as high-speed buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers, and auto scrubbers
  • Janitorial or laborer experience in a facility setting is preferred
  • Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment
  • Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance checks on all equipment before use
  • Before beginning work, secure the work area and post safety notices for other space users
  • Floors care, including routine mopping (dry and damp), buffing, and burnishing on hard surface floors and stairwells
  • Vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting, and extracting carpets, stairwells, and upholstery
  • Wall cleaning
  • Dusting (high and low)
  • Routine restroom cleaning
  • Routine office and break room cleaning
  • Maintenance of floor care equipment
