About the role
Brownsburg Health Care Center is seeking a dependable and hardworking Floor Technician / Transportation Driver to join our healthcare team. This position is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and well-maintained floors throughout the facility while also providing resident transportation as needed. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and understands the importance of maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily floor care and maintenance throughout the facility.
- Clean, maintain, and care for hard-surface and carpeted floors.
- Sweep, mop, scrub, strip, wax, buff, and maintain floors as needed.
- Follow proper procedures for cleaning products, equipment, and floor-care chemicals.
- Operate floor-care equipment safely and according to facility procedures.
- Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary common areas, hallways, resident areas, and other assigned spaces.
- Identify and report maintenance, safety, or environmental concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Help maintain a safe environment for residents, visitors, and employees.
- Provide resident transportation to appointments and other destinations as assigned.
- Assist residents with entering and exiting the vehicle safely while following facility procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of facility transportation vehicles.
- Complete required transportation documentation and follow applicable facility policies.
- Communicate professionally with residents, families, healthcare providers, and staff.
- Follow all infection control, safety, and facility policies and procedures.
- Perform other environmental services, housekeeping, floor-care, and transportation duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license required.
- Must meet all facility driving requirements.
- Previous experience in floor care, housekeeping, environmental services, janitorial services, healthcare, or skilled nursing preferred.
- Previous experience providing resident or patient transportation is a plus.
- Ability to safely operate floor-care equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Professional and compassionate when interacting with residents.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with facility policies and safety procedures.

Schedule
Full-Time. Day Shift. Schedule may vary based on facility transportation and operational needs.
