About the role
The essential functions of a Floor Technician include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsibilities
- Follow safety policies and procedures without exception
- Sweep and dust mop entire area, using proper techniques to prepare floor for cleaning
- Inspect equipment, attachments, and connections prior to use, according to standard procedures
- Prepare cleaning solutions according to label directions
- Scrub floors with low speed floor machines or auto scrubber
- Remove any stubborn marks of stains in proper method
- Pick up excess solutions with mop or wet dry vacuum
- High speed buff floor areas to restore shine
- Follow standard procedures to strip floors
- Follow standard procedures for applying finish to floors
- Pre-spot stains in carpet before prior cleaning entire area
- Shampoo and extract carpet
- Remove and replace all furniture
- Thoroughly clean all equipment and store each piece properly
- Site is to be left clean, touching up baseboards and furniture as necessary
- Performing other similar and related duties as assigned by supervisor
