Floor Tech

Position Summary

The Floor Tech performs daily cleaning of facility floors, ensuring a clean, attractive facility in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Prior health‑care experience preferred

Specific Job Requirements

• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Knowledgeable of practices, procedures, and the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in a post‑acute care facility
• Implement and interpret the department’s programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
• Perform proficiently in all competency areas, including but not limited to patient rights, safety, and sanitation
• Maintain professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
• Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
• Understand and follow company policies, including harassment and compliance procedures
• Display integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and completing mandatory compliance training

Essential Functions

• Maintain floors by sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, shampooing, stripping, waxing, and buffing
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
• Assist in the evacuation of patients
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
• Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
• Perform physical tasks such as sitting, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, walking, reaching, and moving intermittently during working hours
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
