About the role

A floor technician at Knoxville Utilities Board (KUB) is responsible for performing daily tasks such as dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming floors to remove dirt and debris. They also operate equipment like scrubbers and buffers to strip old coatings of wax and apply new wax, buff floors, and burnish floors to restore their appearance and durability.

Responsibilities

• Clean carpets using shampooing, extraction, and bonneting to remove stains and refresh the carpet.
• Operate equipment like scrubbers and buffers to strip old coatings of wax and apply new wax, buff floors, and burnish floors to restore their appearance and durability.
• Clean floors using various methods including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming.
• Perform minor repairs as needed.
• May be involved in special projects like post-construction clean up or window washing.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year experience in floor work.

Pay
