Floor Maintenance Clerk PT

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly interactions with all guests and co-workers.
• Use and maintain a floor scrubber and buffer.
• Maintain cleanliness & sanitation of the floors throughout the store.
• Clean up spills, sweep, and mop as needed.
• Maintain a neat and safe work area to allow guests to shop without agitation.
• Maintain and organize floor chemicals and supplies.
• Vacuum, steam clean, or shampoo carpeted areas or rugs throughout the store.
• Strip, seal, and wax floors as needed.
• Maintain sanitation standards on the sales floor and in the backroom area.
• Perform front-end duties as necessary to ensure “no noticeable wait” standard is upheld and maintained.
• Communicate floor maintenance needs to store management.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. constantly and 60 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of safety & sanitation guidelines.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Effective communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push/pull, and operate floor equipment for extended periods of time.
