About the role

We are currently seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and dedicated Floor Care Technician (Janitorial) to help maintain a clean, healthy, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
Schedule
7:00am-3:00pm, plus every other weekend. Part time, Day Shift.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and deep cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and polishing.
- Maintain carpets through vacuuming, spot cleaning, shampooing, and extraction as needed.
- Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as buffers, burnishers, extractors, and auto scrubbers.
- Follow proper safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Ensure hallways, dining areas, resident rooms, and common areas meet cleanliness and infection control standards.
- Assist housekeeping staff with general cleaning tasks as needed.
- Monitor and report any floor damage, safety hazards, or necessary repairs to the supervisor.
- Maintain inventory of floor care supplies and request replacements when necessary.
- Adhere to all facility policies, health and safety guidelines, and state and federal regulations.
- Clean and sanitize public bathrooms, common areas, rehab gym, and offices.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, and polish furniture and fixtures as needed.
- Remove trash and replace liners.
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.
- Report any maintenance concerns or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in floor care or environmental services, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment preferred.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques, equipment, and proper use of cleaning chemicals preferred.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and operate heavy cleaning equipment for extended periods.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
