Floor Care Technician - Environmental Services - South

Location: 3801 S National Ave, Springfield, Missouri, 65807 – Night Shift, 40 hours per week

About the role

The Floor Care Technician maintains environmental and infection control standards within established policies and procedures. Duties include cleaning and maintaining hospital and adjacent buildings in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition, which may require traveling from one facility to another. Frequent after-hours work and independent operation are required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned areas to meet sanitary and infection-control standards
• Respond to and initiate communication via phone, handheld radios, or pagers
• Observe all safety standards and use safe work techniques at all times
• Demonstrate advocacy for patient health, safety, and rights
• Apply awareness of safety protocols, including Materials Safety Data Sheets and Personal Protective Equipment
• Perform extraction, stripping, and refinishing of floors

Requirements

• Able to stand and walk on a continual basis
• Able to work alone and after hours frequently

Qualifications

• Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: 2 years of experience in hospitality, healthcare, or cleaning
