Floor Assembly Technician- Electronic
About the Role
As a Floor Assembly Technician – Electrical at our Rockford, Tennessee manufacturing facility, you will assemble, test, troubleshoot, and support the production of high-quality electrical and electro-mechanical assemblies used in our industry-leading medical imaging systems, including PET/CT, SPECT/CT, and gamma camera systems. You will work alongside manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to ensure every product meets the highest standards for performance, reliability, and safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform precision electrical, electro-mechanical, and mechanical assembly of components, subassemblies, and finished products.
- Plan daily work activities while collaborating with fellow technicians to meet production schedules and quality objectives.
- Assemble electrical wiring, harnesses, connectors, circuit boards, and other precision components following engineering drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing procedures.
- Monitor the availability of parts, tools, equipment, and materials to ensure efficient production flow.
- Operate specialized assembly equipment, hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and manufacturing machinery while maintaining equipment readiness.
- Conduct functional testing, troubleshooting, and basic diagnostics to verify product performance and quality.
- Support complex test procedures and document test results in accordance with established manufacturing processes.
- Identify, analyze, and assist in the resolution of routine manufacturing and assembly issues impacting daily operations.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to improve product quality, efficiency, and manufacturing processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment while following all quality and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Experience performing electrical, electro-mechanical, mechanical, or precision manufacturing assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and basic electrical test equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic assembly and manufacturing issues.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in medical device, electronics, aerospace, semiconductor, or other precision manufacturing environments.
- Experience with cable and wire harness assembly, PCB assembly, connectors, or electrical integration.
- Familiarity with quality systems and regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience performing functional testing, troubleshooting, or product verification.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement principles.

Pay
The base pay range for this position is $42,930 - $59,026. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
