About the role
The City and County of Denver offers competitive pay commensurate with education and experience. New hires are typically brought into the organization between $63,679 - $85,000/year, based on experience and education. Location & Schedule
Your primary office assignment will be at the Denver Wastewater Management (WMD) building, located at 2000 W. 3rd Ave., Denver, CO 80223. You should anticipate conducting field inspections up to five days per week, weather permitting. A City vehicle will be provided for use on official City business.

DOTI is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Floodplain Project Inspector to join our Floodplain Management team. This role is central to ensuring that construction in the regulatory floodplain—including site development, public infrastructure and flood management systems—are constructed safely, sustainably, and in accordance with Denver’s engineering and environmental standards.

Required Minimum Qualifications
- Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field of study.
- Experience Requirement: Two (2) years of experience inspecting construction projects for adherence to project plans and specifications, or construction project management involving the oversight and inspection of construction materials, methods, and equipment.
- Licenses and certifications: Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.
