About the role
The Floating Plant Clerk supports US Aggregates' plant operations and sales teams by providing administrative and customer support.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all daily weighing and ticketing of trucks for the site.
- Cover and serve as backup for plant clerks and sites in assigned area including Francesville, Monon, and Lowell.
- Check and verify daily tickets for accuracy.
- Check and verify daily tickets for accuracy.
- Scan and file daily tickets.
- Report daily tonnage, number of loads shipped to your territory sales coordinator, also send to area managers as needed.
- Process all daily cash sales for the site.
- Update and compile daily CAPP report, submit weekly/monthly to QC lab and plant manager for the site.
- Auxiliary in dispatching, scheduling haulers for daily loads for your site, as needed.
- Auxiliary in communicating quote information or entering quotes as instructed.
- Auxiliary in job updates, new things happening within the territory or location.
- Train all backup plant clerks for the site.
- Support sales team as appropriate on any customer issues. Offer support on key jobs status.
- Partner with sales team to identify opportunities for improvement in communication on sales activity and job status.
- Auxiliary in billing, invoicing, all reporting, ordering of parts/supplies, and site communications.
- Auxiliary in tracking and reconciling company credit card.
- Provide accurate and prompt response to all customer inquiries.
- Handle all daily phone calls, office mailing, faxing, general office filing.
- Additionally assist with safety submissions as needed.

- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects, while supporting multiple sales professionals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products.
- Demonstrate ability to build relationship and work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
- Demonstrate ability to utilize technology to create streamlined processes and efficiency.
- Ability to travel to sites in assigned area.
Qualifications
- High School or Equivalent GED.
