Floating Med Tech

Responsibilities

• Administer medications accurately and safely in accordance with state regulations and company policies
• Assisting clients with activities of daily living, specifically but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, etc.
• Step in to cover shifts across multiple communities as needed (including short-notice call-ins).
• Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
• Reporting any changes in the resident's condition to the supervisor.
• Communicate in a professional manner with families, support services, and coworkers of Homestead.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED
• Able to pass a criminal background check
• Previous experience as a Medication Technician, or similar role in Senior Living
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Every other weekend is required
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel up to 25-30 miles between assigned communities
• Valid Driver’s license or ID
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to arrive on time for every shift
