Floating Food Service Support

About the role

We are looking to add an experienced, skilled Floating Chef to our correctional team in Olympia, WA. As a food service support, you will have the opportunity to help coordinate and prepare food for meal service in a variety of assigned locations.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with planning, directing, organizing, and coordinating the activities of the food service department to provide outstanding dining options to each assigned unit.
• Helping to enforce company policies and procedures to provide administrative direction for menu formation; food preparation, distribution, and service; budgeting and purchasing; sanitation standards; safety practices; and staffing and staff development.
• Ensuring proper temperature, portioning, and quality of meals.
• Directly preparing meals as needed.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• At least two years’ experience in food service.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the year.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves include at least one year’s experience in a supervisory role and an Associate’s degree or higher.

Pay

Compensation Range $24.00 per hour
