About the Role

Mid Penn Bank is seeking a Full-Time Floating Financial Center Associate to join our team in Marysville and Dauphin, PA. The Financial Center Associate is responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the daily financial center activities of a community bank while adhering to corporate, regulatory and audit guidelines. This individual will cash checks, receive deposits, process other transactions as authorized and within policy, balance a cash drawer, and maintain accurate records. In addition, the Financial Center Associate will ensure the delivery of superior service which includes promoting the organization's products and services and directing customers to the appropriate employee or department for specialized financial services.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Financial Center Associate operational duties by conducting paying and receiving activities accurately within the guidelines of the organization's Financial Center Guidelines
  • Operate and balance cash drawer accurately and efficiently
  • Greet and serve customers in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Proactively seek out new opportunities to deepen relationships with customers through suggestive sales techniques; actively refer customers to appropriate customer service personnel
  • Coordinate specific work tasks with other personnel within the financial center as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information
  • Possess sufficient knowledge of the organization's products and services in order to refer customers to the appropriate person or department for specialized financial services
  • Effectively utilize the organization's Customer Relationship Management program to track customer sales and service activities
  • Accept deposits of various account types
  • Cash checks within approved authority and operating policy
  • Sell official monetary instruments
  • Accept loan payments, safe deposit box rent, and other related payments
  • Process night deposits and mail deposits
  • Prepare and process daily work for remote capture
  • Balance cash drawer in a timely manner
  • Provide safe deposit box services to customers as needed
  • Balance and/or service ATM machines as needed
  • Respond to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from customers, other company personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cash handling and customer service experience preferred

Skills

  • Moderate reading, writing, and grammar skills
  • Proficient analytical and mathematics skills
  • Proficient communicative and interpersonal relations skills
  • Proficient eye-hand coordination
  • Ability to operate various office machines
  • Technical supervisory skills and sufficient skills to provide assistance in training of entry level Financial Center Associates
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach with hands or arms, use hands to manipulate objects, lift items weighing 50 lbs. or less
  • Visual, auditory and speaking skills
  • Valid driver's license required
