Floating Assistant Property Manager - Southwest
About the role
We are hiring a Floating Assistant Property Manager to work in various satellite offices throughout the Southwest Region, which includes portfolios in Burien, Kent, Seattle, and Tukwila. The home office is based at the Seola Gardens portfolio in Seattle (White Center). This role involves performing administrative duties to ensure properties are operated efficiently and cost-effectively while maintaining high-quality housing for residents and tenants.
Responsibilities
- Train and monitor the work of new and current staff as directed by the Regional Manager.
- Provide staff coverage for Property Managers and/or Property Specialists throughout the region as needed.
- Participate in administrative workload management, supporting portfolios with timely task completion, staff shortages, lease-ups, and program changes.
- Interface with applicants, residents, and neighbors.
- Perform annual reviews and rent calculations for residents.
- Conduct annual inspections, enforce leases, and compile data for reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree AND
- Moderate experience in affordable housing, property management, or general management OR
- An equivalent combination of experience and education that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
Skills

- Demonstrated ability to prepare and maintain records (manual and electronic) and reports with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail; ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Knowledge of complex affordable housing programs including HUD rental assistance, LIHTC, HOME, and/or other applicable regulated housing programs and Authority policies and procedures.
- Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, ensuring accuracy, multi-tasking, and handling interruptions appropriately; ensures assignments are completed in a timely and effective manner.
- Effective and collaborative communication with individuals and internal and external organizations; applies effective written and oral communication techniques to convey clear and timely messages.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member to develop effective working relationships; works cooperatively, plays a key role in department initiatives, exchanges ideas, and addresses issues constructively.

- Must possess a valid driver’s license to travel to KCHA sites as required. Must have an acceptable driving record at time of appointment and throughout employment.
Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $81,704.80 - $93,960.73 annually, dependent on qualifications and professional experience. The complete salary range for this position is $81,704.80 - $106,216.65 annually.
