About The Role

As a Floating Assistant Community Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting multiple communities throughout the San Diego, CA region, including North County communities in Encinitas and San Marcos, ensuring financial accuracy, leasing success, and exceptional resident experiences. This is an exciting opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in property management.

What You'll Do

Below is a snapshot of what this role is all about. While there is more to it, this is the core focus.

  • Accounting & Reporting: Collect and post rent, process invoices, and prepare monthly financial reports. Complete bank deposits and account reconciliations. Use Yardi or similar software for property accounting.
  • Leasing & Customer Service: Lease apartments and promote resident satisfaction. Respond promptly to resident questions and service issues.
  • Team Support: Mentor leasing team members and assist with marketing and resident retention. Collaborate with the Community Manager on property operations.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Minimum of one year of residential leasing, sales, and/or property management experience required.
  • Experience in leadership and supervising a staff preferred.
  • Experience using Yardi or other related property management accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong math and accounting skills.
  • Understanding of financial statements (budget, financial reports, accounting information, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local fair housing laws and provisions.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and some holidays.

Pay

Estimated Rate of Pay: $26.97 - $30.16. This position is non-exempt; the range above reflects hourly rates. The pay range displayed for this position is determined by skills and experience required, location and job complexity. Potential job offers may vary based on the skills, education, and experience an individual candidate holds. This range reflects base rate only, and does not include allowances, perks, commissions or bonuses applicable to this position (if any).
