Float Resident Assistant
Position Summary
As a Float Pool Resident Assistant, you will provide high-quality, resident-centered care to tenants in assisted living communities. Working under the supervision of a licensed nurse or Assisted Living Clinical Manager, you will assist tenants with activities of daily living while promoting independence, dignity, comfort, and overall well-being. You will play an important role as part of the interdisciplinary care team by supporting each tenant's physical, mental, and psychosocial needs while helping them maintain the highest possible quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assisting tenants with activities of daily living, including personal care and hygiene
- Supporting tenant mobility, safety, comfort, and independence
- Providing basic nursing and restorative care services according to individual service plans
- Observing and reporting changes in tenant conditions to the nursing team
- Building positive relationships with tenants, families, and team members
- Maintaining accurate documentation as required
- Supporting individualized care plans and tenant preferences
- Aiding with medication administration after completing required training, as applicable
- Delivering care in accordance with MDH standards, the Tenant Bill of Rights, and community policies
Qualifications
- Ability and willingness to travel to various Monarch Healthcare Management communities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Resilience and the ability to accept feedback, adapt, and grow professionally
- Personable, compassionate, and able to build trust with tenants, families, and coworkers
- Experience in healthcare preferred
- Long-term care or assisted living experience preferred
- Passion for providing high-quality, tenant-centered care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
