Float Provider Medical Assistant

About the role

VPFW is hiring full-time Provider Medical Assistants to join their clinical department and float across office locations.

Responsibilities

• Interview new patients and record patient information
• Absorb with patient exams and procedures
• Assist with requesting diagnostic testing and communicating results to patient in a timely manner
• Stock and clean exam rooms
• Ensure all required written forms, computer documentation, and patient medical records are completed in a timely manner
• Administer injections and medications
• Cook up prescription orders with pharmacy and patient

Requirements

• Knowledge of clinical techniques
• Ability to function effectively as a team member
• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to collaborate with physicians, staff, and management
• Ability to perform effectively in stressful situations
• Flexibility to travel across multiple office locations

Skills And Abilities

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience (preferred OB/GYN or primary care concentration) required
• Current Medical Assistant Certification or ability to obtain it within 12 months of employment

Pay

$20.00 - 24.00 per hour
