Float Pool Registered Nurse - Full time, Nights - Mercy Jefferson

About the Role

Utilizes the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model and nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patients care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patients' rights and confidentiality of patient information. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the goals of Mercy Health System, the Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy, the State Nurse Practice Act, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics, and the Co-Worker Code of Conduct. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model and nursing process
• Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients
• Coordinate patient care with other departments
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality
• Adhere to established nursing practice guidelines, Mercy Health System goals, and state regulations

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (or completion within 30 days of hire)

Schedule

36 hours per week, night shift

Pay

Premium night shift sign-on bonus: $10,000 for Graduate Nurses, $13,000 for Experienced Nurses
