Float Pool PCA

Responsibilities

• Help patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
• Take and record vital signs including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation.
• Assist patients with mobility, helping them get in and out of bed, walk, or use assistive devices.
• Maintain and ensure proper functioning of telemetry monitors (heart monitors).
• Monitor patients for any physical changes and report to nursing staff promptly.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate upon hire.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.
