About the role

The Medical Associates Clinic is seeking full-time Certified Medical Assistants, LPNs, RNs, and Paramedics to join their care team. This role offers flexibility and variety, allowing candidates to work across multiple specialties and gain diverse experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Collect pertinent patient health care data, diagnostic testing, treatments, and review medical records.
  • Confer with physician/mid-level providers to ensure patient needs are met.
  • May include general office duties such as obtaining and updating patient demographic and insurance information, accepting payment and co-pays, scheduling and coordinating appointments, and creating lab orders.
  • Collaborate with health care team according to the plan of care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, and others.
  • Promote patient wellness and provide patient education.
  • Document care provided, including interventions, medication, patient education, and assist with the integrity of medical records.
  • Facilitate reimbursement of services provided, including charge tickets, referrals, and insurance requirements.
  • Maintain a safe, neat, organized, and supplied office environment, ensuring proper functioning of equipment.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance of equipment according to guidelines.
  • Provide input for improving patient care and workflow systems.
  • Participate in required meetings.
  • Complete all other assigned projects and duties.

Requirements

  • Experience: From three months to one year of similar or related experience.
  • Education: Equivalent to a two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study or certification at a business or trade school.
  • Certification: Medical Assistant or LPN/RN license required.

Skills

  • Keyboarding skills and use of electronic equipment.
  • Use and operate a wide variety of diagnostic and medical equipment.
  • Use personal protection safety equipment including gloves, lab coats, gowns, goggles, and face masks/shields.
  • BLS required biannually.
