About the role
This position requires flexibility to work across multiple sites, in Beaver County including, but not limited to, Beaver Meadows, Homecare and Hospice. Travel between these sites is an essential part of the position.
Responsibilities
- Make regular rounds on residents, checking for their location, safety, and well-being.
- Absorb and encourage maximum independence in residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Deliver mail and newspapers to residents.
- Set dining room tables for meals as needed.
- Serve meals/snacks and deliver meal trays to resident rooms.
- Perform basic housekeeping duties (e.g., trash removal, cleaning, and bed-making).
- Manage laundry: collect, wash, dry, fold, and return resident laundry and linens.
- Encourage and assist resident participation in activities and recreational programs.
- Escort residents to and from recreational programs and assist during events.
- Accurately document resident care and services provided.
- Assist with monitoring and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
- Address and report customer service issues, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner.
- Attend and complete required in-service education and staff meetings.
- Maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Comprehends the basics of personal care, housekeeping and meal preparation.
- P Practices good hygiene and is neat in personal appearances.
- Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- Must be available and willing to work at any clinical building requiring staff coverage.
- Demonstrate professionalism and reliability in fulfilling scheduled shifts.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be free from any medical condition, including substance use disorders, that could impair the safe and competent delivery of personal care services.
- Clean driving record.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required, or current active registration on the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.
