Float Patient Service Representative

About the role

Join our team as a full-time Float Patient Service Representative with BJC Medical Group in Missouri. This position will float between Steelville, Cuba, Sullivan, and Bourbon.

Responsibilities

• Handles telephone calls from patients and staff; forwards calls requiring triage.
• Performs receptionist duties with close attention to detail and professionalism.
• Verifies health insurance payment information and educates patients on the applicable regulations; collects payments and records data.
• Performs data entry of service charges, to include the assignment of diagnostic codes and the entering of all physician and clinic related charges.
• Collaborates with Central Billing Office to ensure all charges are captured and properly collected.

Requirements

• Preferred Medical Office Experience
• 40-Hours per week Day Shift
• Benefit Eligible
• Position does require every 7th weekend when full staffed (may require more weekends if needed)

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: 2-5 years

Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Proficiency in data entry
