About the role

DaVita is seeking a Patient Care Technician to make a significant impact in the lives of patients with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease.

Responsibilities

  • Spend the majority of your day providing direct patient care during dialysis treatments.
  • Maintain patient safety and hygiene during dialysis sessions.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis, including measuring and recording vital signs and patient observations.
  • Set up and operate hemodialysis machines.
  • Educate patients about their condition and the importance of dialysis.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leaders.
  • Work under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Comfortable working around blood and needles.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience in health care, such as BONENT Certified, CHT, CNA, CMA, or Phlebotomy certification is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Must be comfortable working 8-12 hour shifts, 3-4 days per week.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
