Float Patient Care Technician
About the role
DaVita is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic. As a PCT, you’ll provide direct, hands‑on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life‑sustaining dialysis treatment. The position is based out of Burlington, WA, with floating primarily between Burlington, Bellingham, Ferndale, and Marysville, and occasional assignments further south such as Everett, Bothell, or Lynnwood.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care
- Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment
- Set up and maintain dialysis equipment
- Record vital signs and patient data
- Educate patients on treatment and kidney health
- Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members
Requirements
- Accredited High School diploma, GED credential, or equivalent
- Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment
- Physically able to work long shifts on your feet
- Willing to float between local clinics if needed
- Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Preferred: CNA, MA, CHT, phlebotomy certification, or healthcare experience
- Prior dialysis experience required; CCHT certification preferred

Schedule
Float PCT will work a mix of opening and closing shifts Monday‑Saturday. The schedule rotates and is made in advance. Must have flexible full‑time availability.
Pay
The wage range for the role is $21.50 – $33.00 per hour. For the Patient Care Technician ICHD Float Experienced level, the range is $24.00 – $31.25 per hour. Washington‑specific minimum wages apply (exempt: $80,168.40/year; non‑exempt varies by location, e.g., Bellingham $19.13/hour, Seattle $21.30/hour, etc.).
