Float Part Time Pharmacy Technician

About the role

We seek a Part-Time Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. Your home base will be 410 S 5th St., Mankato, MN 56001, but you may be asked to help with coverage at sites in Mankato, Owatonna, and Marshall.

Schedule

This is a Part-Time, 32-hour per week role. The pharmacy is open Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a lunch break from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM. Days and times may vary based on business needs and site coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
• Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies and inventory
• Receive and process wholesaler medication orders
• Verify medication stock and enter data in the computer to maintain inventory records
• Assist the Pharmacist with pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Perform various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicate with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Minnesota
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid U.S. driver’s license
• Ability to use your own car to travel to sites within Mankato, Owatonna, and Marshall

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience

Pay

The hourly pay for this role ranges from $16 to $29 per hour based on full-time employment, depending on factors such as local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
