Float Operator - PRE

Responsibilities

• Provide back up to pre pasteurization operators and material handlers in receiving, dry ingredients, and HPP.
• Fill in due to unscheduled or scheduled absences or in the case of open positions.
• Aid in training of staff and new hires.
• Collaborate with operators, material handlers, and supervisor in re-training or troubleshooting matters.
• Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) best practices, encouraging others to do the same.
• Operate a forklift, as necessary.
• Contribute to special projects or other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2+ years of working experience in a manufacturing/production facility.
• Ability to follow proper food safety, quality, and workplace safety procedures and requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a team environment.
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
• Forklift certification and experience or willingness to obtain.
• Work well in a team environment.
• Mechanically inclined, driven to continually grow and develop their role.
• Ability to adapt and accommodate change.
