Float Dialysis Registered Nurse
Location: 2912 Tuscarawas St W, Canton, OH 44708. This position will float to clinics within the Greater Canton, Ohio region.

We are looking for someone who works well in a team, is adaptable, willing to travel/float within the region, has strong leadership skills, excellent time management, the ability to take and give redirection, effective communication, and critical thinking.
Responsibilities
- 30% Supervision & Direct Patient Care: Supervise and perform direct patient care including taking and monitoring vital signs, initiation and termination of dialysis, documentation, physical assessment of patients and treatments, transcription of physician’s orders, and drawing/documenting laboratory work.
- 20% Dialysis Therapy: Provide dialysis therapy by formulating dialysis plans per physician orders, managing weight and ultrafiltration rates, verifying safety measures, administering medications, discontinuing dialysis per procedure, and documenting all activities.
- 20% Patient Monitoring & Communication: Analyze patient assessments and lab data, note signs of trauma or changes in condition, review dialysis orders, document observations, and communicate emergencies or life-threatening complications to supervisors, physicians, and administrators.
- 15% Education & Care Planning: Assess patient and family learning readiness, provide education on renal disease, dialysis treatment, and medical regimens. Participate in developing and implementing short- and long-term care plans and monthly progress notes.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N) preferred. A three-year diploma from an accredited program may substitute for the degree.
- At least 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Employment contingent upon successfully passing a drug screen and background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg).
- Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) certification.
Schedule
- Hours vary depending on the clinic, with potential start times as early as 4:00 AM.
- Shift differential for travel and paid mileage.
Pay
Compensation increases as you complete different levels of training and take on more responsibility. Pay depends on qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
