About the Role
The Clinical Partner II (CP) is a staff position responsible for providing basic technical nursing care skills under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN). The CP is a valued member of the nursing team who works in close collaboration with the assigned RN to provide safe and quality patient-centered care and functions under the direction of the RN. The CP is not an independent practitioner and requires delegation of functions and oversight of assigned tasks by the RN, for example wound care, discontinuing a saline lock, or discontinuing a Foley catheter. The CP works closely with the RN, who should assess competence before assigning a task. When in doubt, no task should be performed unless the CP is competent and has been signed off on the task.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic technical nursing care skills under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN).
- Collaborate closely with the assigned RN to deliver safe and quality patient-centered care.
- Perform delegated tasks such as wound care, discontinuing a saline lock, or discontinuing a Foley catheter, under RN supervision.
- Ensure competence in assigned tasks and seek RN assessment before performing any task.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, Certificate of attendance, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- 2 years of experience preferred.
- Previous experience as a CNA or LPN in an acute care facility in the state of Florida is preferred.
Pay
Estimated pay range for this position is $17.79 - $23.13 per hour, depending on experience.
