About the role

Float Client Relationship Consultants build relationships with customers by meeting face to face and engaging them when and where they need to provide the best possible counsel. Strong client relationships are based on trust, assessing and attending to customers' banking needs, obtaining and processing customer and account information, educating clients on available deposit and loan products and services, and recommending financial solutions based on each customer's unique goals and needs.

Responsibilities

  • Originate and close consumer loans
  • Open accounts
  • Open and/or close the branch
  • Travel to defined branch clusters as assigned (mileage and drive time paid for any time or distance beyond regular home branch commute)
  • Work a flexible schedule, 6 days per week
  • Report to float pool manager at market level

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Four to five years of customer service experience
  • Four to five years of sales experience

Required Skills

  • Act as a role model within the branches they support
  • Understand work schedule, ask questions if anything is unclear
  • Show up each day to assigned branch on time and prepare for work
  • Ability to handle various security and operational processes and procedures under minimal supervision
  • Effectively work with various personalities and develop interpersonal relationship skills
  • Demonstrates customer obsession through empathy, taking ownership, and consistent follow up

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Thorough knowledge of retail product philosophy, policy, procedures, documentation and systems
  • Advanced knowledge of all retail products and services
  • Proven customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in participating in sales campaigns/promotions
  • Strong mathematical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred

Location expectations

  • This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location for all scheduled workdays
  • This position also requires 10 or more hours of driving per week
