About the role
Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Flightline Operations Managers (Level K) to support the 737 Field Operations team in Renton, WA. This position is available for Shift 1 or 2; the shift will be determined at the time of offer. The role requires using business, leadership, and people skills to inspire a safe work environment and exceptional performance while developing and executing business plans, policies, and procedures. Successful candidates must develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, cross-functional support, and direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Ensures air vehicles are completed and pass certification for airworthiness by overseeing final component installation, systems operation functional testing, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, preflight and postflight checks, release for flight, and preparation for delivery.
- Interfaces with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and ensure customer acceptance.
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals.
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
- Manages, develops, and motivates employees.
To be considered for this position, you will be required to complete a Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment as part of the selection process.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in an Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of experience working in a cross-functional environment.
- Possess an FAA Airframe and Power Plant License OR the aircraft years and experience necessary to obtain an FAA Repairman's certificate.
- Ability to work variable shifts including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends as needed.
- At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large-scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of flightline operations experience.
- 3+ years of experience working with live customers.
- 3+ years of experience with any of the following: quality assurance, troubleshooting capabilities, functional test knowledge, release, ticket experience, manufacturing, and/or structures.
- 3+ years of proficiency using CMES.

Pay
Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $141,000 – $161,000
Schedule
This position requires working variable shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends as needed. The position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
